Client Service Associate
As the Client Service Associate here at Align Financial I provide business and client support. My background as an HR Manager at a local distillery and manufacturing facility created a love for the inner workings of small businesses run by founders. I love to learn, and work diligently to ensure that our systems and processes are well-established and everything runs smoothly for our Client Service Team.
I hold a BS in Sociology and Anthropology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I spent considerable time exploring Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, and North America before starting my career in earnest after graduation.
Dreaming of living in NYC, I left my home state of Virginia and became an executive assistant in investment banking at Lazard. Over time, I began assisting senior executives and managing the temporary support staff for the New York office. This gave me core experience in finance and human resources.
Always passionate about expanding my skills, in my time outside the office I practiced yoga and completed several yoga teacher training courses. I eventually became a full-time yoga instructor.
After 14 years in NYC I moved back to Virginia to be closer to family. I continued to teach yoga and managed the office for a small investment firm supporting foundations and endowments, and later became HR Manager at a local distillery and manufacturing facility.
I’m now living in Charlottesville, Virginia and raising my daughter, Nica. We enjoy caring for our succulents and 3 cats, taking trips to the beach, visiting museums and historical sites, making music and spending time in nature.
